Patriot Heat & Air receives 2025 BBB Torch Award for Ethics

St. Louis, Mo., Oct. XX, 2025 – Patriot Heat & Air is a 2025 Better Business Bureau® (BBB®) Springfield Torch Award for Ethics winner.

BBB Torch Awards for Ethics recognize the businesses and organizations in our communities that meet the highest standard of trust. Five businesses are being recognized in the Springfield region this year.

“These businesses, as well as our student scholarship recipient, are setting a shining example for our region,” said Pamela Hernandez, BBB Springfield Regional Director. “By honoring them with these well-deserved BBB awards, we hope to establish a high standard for ethical behavior and trust in our local marketplace.”

Based in Hollister, Mo., Patriot Heat & Air provides reliable, expert HVAC repair, installation and maintenance to residential and commercial customers in the Branson and Springfield areas. Founded by Miranda Rought after years of working in the HVAC industry, this woman-owned business has grown from two technicians to a 20-person crew in just a few short years.

“Winning the BBB Torch Award of Ethics affirms what we’ve always believed – that doing the right thing for our customers, team, and community is the only way to do business. This honor belongs to the entire Patriot family,” said Miranda Rought, Owner/General Manager.

Patriot Heat & Air is proud to give back, especially to the veteran community. Each year, they provide free HVAC systems and repairs to veterans in need. The company is highly involved in the community and sponsors local events like the Hollister Grape & Fall Festival. Rought serves on the Hollister Chamber of Commerce Board and heads the local Leading Ladies group.

All 2025 Torch Award winners – along with one Student of Ethics award winner – were recognized at the BBB Springfield Torch Awards for Ethics reception and luncheon on Wednesday, October 29 at the Old Glass Place. Heather Noggle, CSSLP, cybersecurity expert and Advisory Board member of the Missouri Cybersecurity Center for Excellence, was the keynote speaker; Bailey Strohl, Anchor for KOLR10 - KRBK – KOZL, was the emcee.

Patriot Heat & Air was the Premier Sponsor for the 2025 Torch Awards for Ethics. US Bank was the Student of Ethics Sponsor, and Craig Automotive Services, Rottler Pest Solutions, and SS&B Heating and Cooling supported the event as Partner Sponsors.
